Jim O'Neill JTO' began playing the piano at the age of four. Playing piano by ear, he gravitated toward the music of Jazz. From elemenary school through high school, he was fortunate enough to study with local jazz legend Jimmy Hamilton. Around the time he started driving to high school, he began singing along in the car with his Sinatra and Connick albums. After college, he studied briefly with another piano master, Bobby Peterson. Now he spends most of the day dreaming and praying that someday he might be able to play a teeny tiny bit like Ahmad Jamal, the greatest living jazz pianist on Earth.

Dave Madson Dave ‘MadDog’ Madson has been playing bass for decades, since jr. high school in all kinds of bands, from schools, garages and clubs to a few far flung concert halls in New York and Europe. He once was heard to say about his years on bass : “longest gig I continue to enjoy”. Originally a bassoonist, explains his somewhat ‘horny’ attack on the bass instrument du jour, laying down a foundation that gives a platform for the eclectic song list of JTO’ to expand to a new dimension.

Mark O'Day Mark O'Day began playing drums at age 9 and began playing professionally at 15. Choosing to attend the Musician's Institute of Technology in Los Angeles, Mark began his musical career in earnest. Under the tutelage of Joe Pocaro and Ralph Humphrey, he was able to see world-class players doing something he loved. Upon graduating, Mark moved to Philadelphia, toured extensively on the east coast, and gained invaluable experience along the way. Relocating finally to Minneapolis proved to be a smart move. Soon after arriving he landed a gig with Minneapolis blues legend Willy Murphy, touring Europe for three straight years (2001-2004). In 1999 O'Day joined the staff at Music Tech, now the Smith/McNally School of Music, and received an endorsement deal with Paiste cymbals. He is currently performing regionally with two different bands: The Scott Miller Band, a New Orleans-inspired quartet, and The Good The Bad and The Funky, a 10-piece rhythm and blues ensemble. http://www.odaydrums.com

Our original drummer, Dave Koel, recently relocated with his wife and two daughters to Kalispell, Montana. We wish them the very best in their new Mountain habitat. More space for him to practice drums without upsetting the neighbors I suppose.
